Applicability of provision of appointment of women director in a company
a. Every Listed companies and
b. Every public company having paid-up capital of Rs. 100 crore or more and
c. Every public company having turnover of Rs. 300 crore or more
For the above purpose turnover and capital shall be as on last date of latest audited financial statement.
Time limit for appointment of women director
Every company incorporated under companies act 2013 must appoint at least 1 women director within the period of 6 month from the date of incorporation.
Every companies which are in existence as on date of commencement of companies act 2013 shall appoint at least 1 women director with in the period of 1 year from the commencement of The Companies Act 2013.
Filling of vacancies in the office of women director
Any vacancies in the office of the women director shall be filled by board of director at earliest but not later than
a. Next board meeting
b. 3 month from the date of such vacancies
Whichever is later
